Five Gloves Wes Anderson Would Approve Of
The films of Wes Anderson are some of my absolute favorites because of their quirky + stylish aesthetics and touching stories of friendships and adventure. The pinnacle of Wes Anderson’s iconic style was reached in The Grand Budapest Hotel - the vintage graphics, gorgeous costumes, and dollhouse-like vibe all feel so elegant and playful.
I came across a photo of these Chanel fur gloves on Pinterest and they gave me such Wes Anderson feels that I came up with the theme of Gloves Wes Anderson Would Approve Of. These ridiculous and deeply fab accessories could adorn any of the guests at The Grand Budapest Hotel.
Get Dolled with Glossier
I am a huge fan of Glossier makeup and have worked with them as an ambassador since 2016. Their most recent 2021 holiday campaign is so chic and playful that I was inspired to recreate on of the looks. I am truly not great at makeup but I had fun attempting this one! Tip: I found that you can use Cloud Paint as an eyeshadow base for a wash of warmth in lieu of pink shadow :)

What im gifting
My family decided that for this Christmas we are only going to give one gift to each other. I love the idea of less randomness and more intentionality in the gift giving process, but it also feels like more pressure to find the “right” thing for each of my family members. I’ve decided on supplementing the purchased gifts with something unique like art or a handmade item to round out the present.
I gathered a few of the items that I’m planning on gifting to my family and best friends to possibly spark an idea for a sweet present for someone you love.
Happy holidays angels :)
DAILY FÊTE VOL. 9
This daily fete is all about goals, things I want to do, dreams, etc. I keep a running list of all that pops into my head in google keep so I can have some semblance of organization of what comes out of my head. This is what I have so far:
Play tennis
Start my French lessons again
Picnic at the Dallas Arboretum
Museum days
Pilates classes
Have tea at The French Room
Cook more vegetarian meals at home
Knit in Turtle Creek Park (for my Dallas peeps)
I want to spend time taking care of myself in the zones of fitness, creative expression, nutrition, and mental well-being. I tend to hyper focus on only one area when I am under stress and I can easily feel imbalanced. Knowing that I have multiple avenues that I can engage in to rebalance helps when I’m feeling stuck.
SPF // Your Skincare Hero
Perhaps the most important preventative step in any beauty routine is SPF. The best way to prevent wrinkles and hyperpigmentation is to apply SPF 30 or above in the morning (after skincare) and every 2 hours after that. Reapplication can be rather inconvenient, but I have found several amazing sunscreens that make reapplication simple. I just purchased the SuperGoop Glow Stick and have been loving the smooth, dewy formula.
The sunscreens from Korea tend to be more hydrating and glowy than American sunscreens. Korean beauty has a culture of prevention rather than fix-it-fast treatments. This means maintaining a consistent routine is much more important than scrambling to fix the issues once they arise. The biggest take away from my foray into k-beauty is that a consistent, gentle routine is the way to achieve healthy skin. PERFECT SKIN DOES NOT HAPPEN OVERNIGHT.
Tea Room Mood
Garden roses, afternoon tea sandwiches, swans on a pond… these are what my day dreams for summer consist of. I have a summer birthday and this year I am dying to have an afternoon tea in my back yard. I envision my besties coming over all dolled in tiny tea hats, toile dresses and fancy gloves while we drink champagne out of tea cups and eat cucumber sandwiches.
